Breaking Records

The Peoria Wire Mill production teams have been on a roll, breaking some 2024 records.

During the week of April 8, 2024, the collective Drawing teams, made up of both wire and mid mill, produced 3584 tons, allowing the Galvanize teams to process 2,690 tons. Both were one-week 2024 records, beating previous highs by 787 tons and 158 tons respectively.

But wait! There’s more. Wire Mill Finishing produced 1,895 tons, beating the previous high by 315 tons. This couldn’t have been achieved without the help of Cleaning, Die, Testing, Shipping and Maintenance groups.

This is just one more sign that our Operational Excellence efforts are paying off. Soon these kinds of numbers will be the norm. It takes everyone to get involved, produce safely and efficiently, and meet customer demand in a timely manner. The little things help make the big things happen.
