Epicor Program Updates

LIBERTY Steel is working on modernizing our business practices, including the implementation of Epicor, software that helps us manage inventory, production, scheduling and more.

It’s been a couple of months since our first go-live with the Peoria melt shop. While there are additional items the team is working on to add to its capability, Epicor functionality has been stable, and transactions are successfully processing. We appreciate the help of everyone who helped make this rollout a success.

Our next release (Release 2) is scheduled for a December 4 go-live date for the Georgetown Rod business, which will include billet sourcing. This release will result in full functionality consisting of scheduling, production, inventory management, shipping, order processing, and all financial transactions. This puts all the production information in one easily accessible place so you can keep an eye on the rod business in real-time.

Key teams are partnering with IT to lock down the design and requirements. We’ll continue to test and train users over the next few weeks to prepare for the go live. A successful Georgetown rollout will serve as the foundation for the Rod and Wire Mill capability for the Peoria site, which is scheduled to go live in Q2 2024.

Please continue to look for communication from the Epicor project team to see how you can help and support ramping up your knowledge and skills in Epicor.
