Jeff Kreuder Named Georgetown Plant Manager

Please give Jeff Kreuder a warm welcome as he joins the LIBERTY Georgetown team as Plant Manager, reporting to Pieter Vanderwesthuizen, LIBERTY SVP of Operations. Jeff begins today, Nov. 6, 2023, and will spend his first week onboarding in Peoria, getting to know our Operational Excellence model.

Reporting to Jeff are Bryan Boone, Maintenance Supervisor; Gerald Rich, Rod Mill Shift Supervisor; Robert Bowers, Rod Mill Quality Technician; Robert Chestnut, Rod Mill Billet Yard Supervisor; and Atul Raj, Rod Mill Maintenance Engineer. Jason Kice, Senior Safety and Health Specialist, will have a dotted line to Jeff.

Jeff is a dedicated and results-driven plant manager with a proven track record of optimizing operations and achieving cost-efficiency in manufacturing environments. He was most recently a Plant Manager for Republic Steel, which he joined in 2006. In his time at Republic, Jeff held several progressive roles including Product End Manager and Maintenance Manager.

Before he started working in the steel industry, Jeff was with the United States Navy for 20 years where he held many technical and managerial positions.

Jeff and his family will relocate to Georgetown, S.C.  from Buffalo, N.Y. In his spare time, he serves as a volunteer fireman and spends time with his family in activities such as golfing, snowmobiling, boating, traveling and playing Euchre.
