Did You Know?

We Make Music!

Welcome to our new Friday series “Did You Know?” where we will highlight the different ways our steel and wire are used in everyday life.

The work we do, whether we are on the front lines or supporting them, has a life after it leaves our plants. We want to remind everyone of our impact beyond the workplace.

Managers and supervisors are encouraged to share these weekly reminders with your teams.

Let’s be proud of our work and products!

We make music! Our steel is used in music wire—a specialized type of wire made to become springs or (as the name implies) to be used as piano strings. It is made from tempered high-carbon steel, also known as spring steel.

Next time you listen to live or recorded music, be proud that the work we do contributes to beautiful (and sometimes not-so-beautiful) sounds.
